Don Starkey Obituary

STARKEY Don Starkey, age 74, of Grove City, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at Mt. Carmel Medical Center. Don retired after 30 years of service with Teamsters Local #413, and with his wife operated Don's Mower and Saw Shop for 20 years in Harrisburg, and worked for 8 years for the Grove City Parks and Recreation Department. He was a member of West Gate Lodge 623 F&AM and an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Edna Starkey, brothers Ralph, Earl and infant Roger, and sister Evelyn. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Lu Starkey; sons, Jim (Maryann) Starkey, Bruce Starkey and Mark Starkey; grandchildren, Jimmy, Bret and Cole; great-grandchild, Cammie; brother and sisters, Louise, Harold, Rita and Patty. Friends may visit Friday from 4-7 p.m. at THE SPENCE-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 2697 Columbus Street, Grove City, where funeral will be held 10 a.m. Saturday. Rev. Dr. Carl Wiley officiating. Interment Pleasant Cemetery. Masonic service will be held 6:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Online guest book www.spencemillerfuneralhome.com.
