Dorothy Baldi

Dorothy Baldi, age 84, of West Frankfort, IL passed away at 3:20 p.m. Tuesday November 24, 2009 at Herrin Hospital. She was born November 20, 1925 in West Frankfort, IL to John and Susie Marko Skuta. She was married to Nello Baldi on June 29, 1947. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in West Frankfort, IL. Dorothy is survived by her husband: Nello Baldi of West Frankfort; two sons: Dennis and Dena Baldi of Herrin, Joe and Paula Baldi of West Frankfort; three brothers: John Skuta of Michigan, Dick Skuta of Tuscola, and George Skuta of Michigan; one sister: Charlotte "Chapman" Niehaus of Carbondale; three grandsons: Shawn and Carol Baldi, Jim and Brandi Baldi, Joseph Baldi; step grandchild: Danielle Milstead; and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother: Charles "Chink" Skuta; sisters: Irene Morthland, Emma Pelker, and Sue Ann Clifford. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 28, 2009 at the Union Funeral Home in West Frankfort, IL with Pastor David Kern officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, November 28, 2009 prior to the service. Interment will be at Denning Cemetery in West Frankfort, IL.
