It has been over 25 years since I worked at OSU hospital in Constant Care. Dottie was one of those special people who made nursing enjoyable. I seriously considered going into administration rather than Law due to Dottie. During her wanderings at night, we would discuss more than patients. She would help in so many ways with the patients and staff. But then, that's what made her Dottie. Its hard to believe so many years have passed. She was a joy to be with.
My prayers and thoughts are with her family. Please email me anytime.

Dear Di, Tracey, Sam, John, Terri, Ally, Peter, and Jonathan...

I have spent this weekend thinking about Dottie and what a special person she was. I always felt she was almost like a 'second mother'. I was deeply disappointed that the capricious weather kept me from attending the Memorial service, but I wanted all of you to know that you have been in my thoughts and prayers.

I know that each of you had a unique relationship with Dottie, and hope that all the wonderful memories will help make this time a little easier to bear.

Much love, Carol

My deepest sympathy to your entire family. I had the pleasure of working with Dottie for many years in the OB department at OSU hospitals. Dottie was a wonderful mentor and I'll always hold dear many memories of the trust that she had in my abilities as a professional. God Bless you and thank you for sharing her with us. sincerely,

Dear Mr. Stahl, John, Diana, Tracey and all the grandkids, your family has always been a special family for me from my years growing up in Columbus. I remember going to your house often and Mrs. Stahl was always so kind, patient and gentle. I still remember the last time I visited your house several years ago with my family and how excited I was to see you all and still remember the look of excitement on Mrs. Stahl's face. During this certain time of loss, please find comfort knowing she is only temporarily separated from us and that she is in the loving embrace of Jesus. You all are in our prayers.

I was so sorry to read of your loss. I too am an RN and I worked with Dottie @ OSU Hospitals back between 1975 - 1978; I always had the greatest respect for Dottie both personally and professionally.
Please know you will be in my thoughts and prayers and may you be comforted by knowing Dottie is in a much better place now.
God Bless you.
