Earl Williard Obituary

WILLIARD Earl E. Williard Sr., age 84, of Pickerington, the Sunrise of his life was October 21, 1924 in Ashville, Oh. and his Sunset was on Tuesday, February 3, 2009, at Mt. Carmel East Hospital, Columbus. He was the son to the late Eles and Arline (Hanson) Williard, and was also preceded in death by sister Betty Lou and brothers Lawrence, John and Richard Williard. A WWII veteran of the U.S. Army, Company B, 278th Engineer Combat Battalion. Earl was a graduate of Canal Winchester High School, class of 1942, Charter Member of Epiphany Lutheran Church, Pickerington and the Motts Military Museum, Groveport and was a member of Kaiser-Frazer Owners Car Club. Owner and Operator of the Earl Williard Garage for over 50 years where he served many Fairfield County and surrounding farmers and residents. Survived by his loving wife, Eleanor (Brobst) Williard; sons, Earl E. (Joy) Williard Jr. and David (Susan) Williard; daughter, Barbara (John) Peshek; grandchildren, Doug and Dianna Miller, Brandon and Amber Williard, John, Jeffrey and Jared Peshek; great-grandchildren, Sarah Applegate, Kelsey Peshek, Alex Peshek and Maddyn Williard; sisters, Dorothy Storts and Lois Crawford; brothers, Elden (Mary) Williard, Bill (Goldie) Williard and Danny (Patty) Williard; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Plummer, Pat Williard and Ruth Coleman; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Friends may visit Friday February 6 from 12Noon-2 p.m. at the Epiphany Lutheran Church, 268 Hill Rd. North (St. Rt. 256), Pickerington, Oh. 43147, where a funeral and celebration of life service will follow at 2 p.m. Rev. Timothy Kuenzli officiating. Interment at Violet Cemetery. In Earl's memory, donations may be made to Epiphany Lutheran Church or Motts Military Museum. Online condolences at www.spencefuneralhome.com.
