I am saddened as well as smile every time I see a reminder of the Anniversary of Ed's passing. The fact that my old friend and mentor is gone is a loss I can never replace.
The great times we all spent at RGB were fond memories.
I miss you old friend and think of you often.

How blessed you were to have two stellar parents/grandparents in your lives.

There are very few people who can match the character of your beloved father/grandfather, may his memory be blessed.

He will be so sorely missed, but his warmth, joy, smile, and compassion will always live in our hearts.

I am so sorry to learn of your loss, and yet, as Michael says, he is back in the arms of his beloved Maitzie- and that is a great comfort, I would believe.

Your parents were just absolutely amazing people and I am sure their legacy lives on in you and your memories of them.

May you be comforted by your family, friends, and love/respect for/from your beloved parents.

It was and is a privilege to know your parents and your family from my childhood to this day. I hope we will continue the special relationship between our families.

Love and many Condolences,
XO, Kim Z

I was saddened to hear of Ed's passing beyond the loss of a mentor and dear friend. My first memories of Ed go back to 1978 when he hired me for my 1st REAL management job at RG Barry. From my first day meeting him I saw a man of uncommon kindness. One who had that rare element of genuine concern for both you as a person as well as your development professionally. As I look back, no one in my life has ever had the profound effect on me.
I can say that those many years I spent working with Ed were some of the happiest of my life. Ed was a "teacher" in the truest sense of the word.Maybe the greatest gift he passed on to me was his TIME. In our world today, there are not enough good souls like him. Men like Ed are few and far between. His council was invaluable and he asked nothing in return.
I will miss you my friend...but know that your memory will live with me forever!

Dear Stan Family,

Mr. Stan hired my father Paul Cavin, many years ago at RGB. On behalf of my mother and myself, we would like to let you know how much my father respected Mr. Stan from a work perspective and from a personal perspective. My father always thought the world of Mr. Stan. Take care and remember all of your fond and fun memories!
Best, Betty Cavin and Mary Sue Hoyle

Ed was a very special person whom I admired tremendously. He was smart, always thinking of new products, ideas, how he could contribute to a better world. I remember his office at 78 E. State Street, Ed was an important part of the success of R G Barry. Although maybe old in years, he was still young at heart and the smartest person in the room.
Sincere sympathy to his family.

It was a pleasure meeting Ed and having an opportunity to experience his effervescent personality that is so beautifully shared now through his family. Thankful that Jodi is not only my work colleague, but a valued friend that shared her mom & dad with so many of us. What an amazing man and so happy for the entire family that you were able to indulge in 90+years of all that Ed is/was/and will always be...embrace the memories and smile knowing he is now at peace and with his beautiful Maitzie. What a pair of angels you now have with you all!
