Edna Hamm Obituary

HAMM Edna Alice Hamm, age 85, of Seville, Oh. passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at Hospice at The Inn At Medina. She was born in Thornville, Oh. on April 8, 1920 to Ludy and Sarah Sullivan Roberts and graduated in 1938 from Thornville High School. She moved to Lodi in 1961 and had resided in Seville the past 18 years, wintering in Zapata, Tex. for 34 years. Mrs. Hamm was a member of the Leroy United Methodist Church, Past Worthy Matron of the Lodi Chapter OES #137, Lodi Garden Club and Westfield Grandmothers Club. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and numerous schnauzer dogs. Surviving are husband, Elvin to whom she married on June 26, 1942 in Panama City, Fla.; daughter, Carolyn (Jim) Hartsough of Westerville, Oh.; 2 grandchildren, Heidi (Eric) Hamm of Marysville, Oh., Heather (Matt) Painter of Middlebury, Ind.; 5 great-grandchildren, Evan and Grant Hamm, Eve, Lydia and Keegan Painter. She was preceded in death by her parents and son Charles Dale. Local funeral service will be held Monday, February 13, 2006 at 12:30 p.m. at the Leroy United Methodist Church, 6777 Park Circle, Westfield Center, Oh. Rev. Wayne Scott of Westfield Center will officiate. Local visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the PARKER & SON FUNERAL HOME, 210 Medina St., Lodi, Oh. with Eastern Star service at 7:45 p.m. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 14, 2006 from 10 a.m. till Noon at the Boring- Sheridan Funeral Home, 56 S. Main St., Thornville, Oh. followed by the funeral at noon. Burial will be at the Lutheran Reformed Cemetery in Thornville, Oh. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
