1926 - 2019
Emil J. Kunzi Jr., age 93, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on December 19, 2019. Emil is survived by his children, Valentine 'Buddy' Gleich, Judith (William) Greer, John Kunzi, and Jenny (Jerry) DeVore. Family will receive friends from 4-7pm on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Heart and Hope by Schoedinger, 3030 W. Broad St, Columbus, Ohio; where a service will be held at 10am on Friday, December 27, 2019. Interment at Sunset Cemetery. To see full obituary, please visit, www.heartandhope.com

To Emil's family:
So sorry I could not make the services, and I am very sorry for your loss.
I worked with Emil in the pharmacy at St. Anthony Hospital in the late 70s and 80s, where he was a pharmacist and I was a pharmacy intern. He mentored me professionally, but quite frankly, I don't recall too much about that. What I do and will always remember is the great example he set being patient, optimistic, and generally seeing the good in people rather than the bad. He was never reactionary, always had a smile and was a real pleasure to work with and be around. Over the years, I would see him periodically at lunches organized for former St. Anthony staff members. Everyone loved Emil!
He will be missed, but understand that for many of us, he left a positive mark and his name will always bring a smile!

Mr. Kunzi is what I knew him as. He will be greatly missed He was so loving and caring. He got around better than I did some days. He always gave me a hug a kiss on the cheek every time he saw me. Prayers for his family. R.I.H
