Enid Ray Obituary

RAY Enid L. "Renee" Ray, died Sunday, January 30, 2011 after suffering a heart attack the previous Thursday. A graduate of Linden McKinley High School ('69) and Bliss College, Renee was an avid sports fan, especially fond of the Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Browns, Oregon Ducks and, of course, the OSU Buckeyes - where she followed both the football and Lady Bucks basketball teams with great enthusiasm. Renee was an assistant manager with Talx - Provider of Equifax Workforce Solutions, worked at the AMC Lennox Theaters, and was active at her church. She was preceded in death by her father Loren B. Ray, and is survived by her mother, Enid D. Ray; siblings, Patti (Rick) Burroughs, Bev Colombini and Stephen Keith (Kathy) Ray. She's also survived by nieces and nephews, Shelly (Dean) Coulson, Laura (Jeff) Stanley, Jon (Marci) Colombini, Vince (Laurel) Colombini, Loren Colombini, Jamie Colombini, Christine Ray, Cassandra Ray and many great-nieces and nephews. Special friends, Shirley Raynard, Cheryl Guice, Sue Ulry and Renee's beloved Sammy also mourn her passing. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to New Creation Metropolitan Community Church, 116 E. Williams Rd., 43207. A memorial service will be held at COOK & SON - PALLAY FUNERAL HOME, 1631 Parsons Ave., on Monday, February 7, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. Those attending the service are welcome to visit with the family and other friends from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and are invited to wear OSU gear in honor of Renee's enduring love of the Buckeyes.

No matter how busy you were, or how tired you may have been, you always found the time and the energy to help others. It is so hard to say good-bye to such a wonderful friend. I will miss you.

I will always remember the trip we took with my sister Ang and Sue to Provincetown, MA. You are a beautiful woman that loved to not sleep much, and was always up to see the beautiful sunrise on that farthest point of the east coast. Wish I would've got up to see it with you. Now you can see it always...much love. Alicia Albrecht Cox

My dearest friend. My heart sings with joy for the freedom you have received, but selfishly breaks for the void you have left. As you fly always remember a large piece of my heart goes with you. I miss you so much Renee. Love you.
