Eric Priday Obituary

PRIDAY Eric "Rick" Rawn Priday, age 73, of Plain City, died Friday, January 2, 2009 in his home. Born January 31, 1935 in Madison County. A 1953 graduate of Dublin High School, Rick served in the United States Air Force from 1955- 1959. He was a retired Sales Manager with Anderson Concrete after 29 years of service. Member of Jerome United Methodist Church where he was very involved and served in every capacity and chaired every committee at various times. Past Jerome Township Trustee, Past Member of American Contractors Institute and Past President of Ohio Contractors Association, Columbus Chapter. Past member of Columbus Engineers Club, Past President of Dublin Lions Club and life time member of VFW Post # 3320 where he served on the Honor Guard. An avid tractor enthusiast, especially John Deere Rick was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather who leaves behind many many precious friends. Preceded in death by his parents Paul Henry and Mary (Robinson) Priday, brother Jim H. Priday, mother-in-law and father-in-law Richard B. and Mary Jayne Curry, sister-in-law May Priday, nephew Rob Priday. Survived by his wife of 39 years, Cathleen A. "Cathy" (Curry) Priday; children, Julie (Mark) Cyphers of Plain City, Michael (Connie) Priday of Marysville, Joseph (Cindy) Priday of Marysville, Dana (Stuart) Pharis of Plain City, Mary Jayne De Francisco of Powell; grandchildren, Andrew, Erin, Mitchell, K. C., Kale, Nicholas, Zachary, Joey, Anthony, Abigail, Luke, Zach, Sara, Sophia; Brother, Robin (Carol) Priday of London; sister-in-law, Helen Priday of Plain City. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 202 E. Main St. (St Rt 161 W), Plain City where services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday with Pastor Gloria Brooks officiating. Burial in Jerome Township Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Jerome United Methodist Church, 10531 Jerome Road, Plain City, OH or a Veteran's organization or charity of donor's choice.
