DAWES Esther Johnson Dawes, 94, passed away peacefully at home, November 1, 2006 . Preceded in death by parents, Charles F. and Mary Pinney Johnson; husband, Carlos Burr Dawes; and daughter, Sarah (Sally) D. Hauser. Survived by daughters, Mary Jane (Thomas M.) Bolon, Columbus, Ohio, and Deborah (Frank E.) Fortkamp, Brunswick, Maryland; and son, Charles J. Dawes, Battle Creek. Michigan. Grandchildren, W. Henry Hauser, Jr., Charles D. Hauser, Cathy H.(G.J.) Seckel, Sarah B. (John) Shumway, Thomas M.(Laura) Bolon,Jr, David D.(Jill) Bolon, Lois D. Jones, A.M.(Tripp) (Mary) Jones,Jr., Benjamin B. Fortkamp, Daniel R. Dawes, Jonathan F.(Caroline) Dawes, Rosemary C. Dawes; 15 great grandchildren; niece Polly W.(Charles)Manning, Clarinda T.VanHorn and nephew Charles Peter Telfer; many Dawes nieces and nephews; friend and caregiver, Kay Coakley. Graduate of Columbus School for Girls, Sarah Lawrence College, attended Ohio State University. Lifetime member of Broad Street Presbyterian Church; member of Women's Board of Children's Hospital, Twig 51, Pioneer Club of Franklin County, former member of the Junior League of Columbus and the Board of YWCA. Memorial service will be held at Broad Street Presbyterian Church on Saturday, November 4, 2006 at 11:30 am, with burial following at The Dawes Arboretum, Newark, Ohio. Familly will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Family requests no flowers, please, and contributions may be made to Broad Street Presbyterian Church, 760 E.
