Frank Croswell Obituary

CROSWELL Frank Edgar Croswell, Jr., 94, born June 7, 1915, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2009, at Willow Brook Christian Home. He was a beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Frank was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, a proud Army veteran of WWII. He was the 1936 Golden Gloves Heavyweight Champion. Frank loved OSU and was an avid golfer and bowler. He is preceded in death by loving wife Frances, and siblings Rosemary (Sr. Frances Josephine SND), Jim and John Croswell. Survived by loving children, Frances Josephine "Jo" Croswell, John Raymond Croswell, Ruth Denise Shaner and Frank Thomas (Annmarie) Croswell; grandchildren, Kristine (Edward) Carson, Philip (Lorrie) Croswell, Janice Croswell, Benjamin (Megan) Croswell, Kevin (Christine) Shaner, Michael Croswell, Caitlin, Conor, Rowan, Rourke, Corey Croswell; great-grandchildren, Benjamin (Jessica) Case, Kirk and Alexa Carson, Rachel, Sara, Katherine and Andrew Croswell, Jacquelyn and Nathan Shaner, Sean and Victoria Lloyd, Sam and Lizzie Croswell, Spencer and Logan Nill; great-great-grandson, Ethan Case; sisters-in-law, Faith Denise Croswell and Ruth Marie Croswell. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 6077 Sharon Woods Blvd., where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, July 23, 2009. Fr. Charles Cotton Celebrant. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road. Mr. Croswell's family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Willow Brook Christian Home for their compassion and care of their father.
