Fred Price Obituary

PRICE Fred Price Sr., 86, of Grove City, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at Mt. Carmel West. He was born July 14, 1923, in Linworth, Oh., son of the late Fred and Mary Billingsley Price. In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his brothers Raymond and Harold Price, sisters Marvine Cashner and Verna Brendt, grandchildren Megan, Trisha and Timmy. He served in the Army during WWII as a SGT with the 736th Field Artillary Battery A. Fred is survived by his wife, Marjorie Storts Price; sons, Fred (Koni) Price Jr. and Tim Price; daughters, Becky (Chris) Price and Linda (Del) Sprague; sister, Lucille Gibson; brother-in-law, Nick (Ann) Storts; sisters-in-law, Donna and Dorcas Storts; grandchildren, Wyndie (Stephen) Burke, Chris (Heather Maier) Price, John (Melissa) Schaefer, Joe (Jen) Sprague, Scott, Blaine, Taylor and Fred (Liz) Price IV, Jay Blackburn, Tony (Lareesa), Tory (Heather) Price, Heather and Tommy Price; great-grandchildren, Brandon and Paige Vest, Gabrielle, Alec, Ariana and Isabella Kate Burke, Summer and Brianna Schaefer, Kaley and Kyle Price, Kyndra and Kora Price; lifelong friends, Fred and Joan Erdy. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 8, 2009 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME SW CHAPEL, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 3730 Broadway, Grove City. I am so sorry for the loss of such a wonderful man. He was sweet, funny, and very kind. He made me laugh so many times. The world is a much better place because he was in it.

One of the best memories of my childhood were at Aunt Marge & Uncle Fred's house on Christmas Eve. Little Timmy was dancing on the piano bench.
