Dearest Anita, John, Jill and family, may your hearts be filled with peace knowing that Jerry is no longer suffering. He soars above us now and has no struggles on this earth. He loved his wife and family so very much as they did him. May god bless the Bailey family and give each of you the strength and wisdom to carry on until you meet again at heavens gate. I can still hear him saying (are you ready Anita). He loved you so very much.

Anita, our deepest sympathy. I will never forget the times Jerry and you would make sorgum on the side of your house. Jerry was such a wonderful man. Think if you and your family often. Kimberly (Harlow) Crouch. Me and my Children lived next to you in the white farm house 28 years ago

Losing someone is never easy so I would like to share a poem that was given to me. Note: it will make you cry but hopefully it will add some comfort too.
God saw he was getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he wrapped his arms around him and whispered come with me. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best. Kim Fishking

I only met Jerry Bailey one time so I cannot profess to have known him. But if his daughter's Terri and Sherri are a reflection of him, then I know that he was a great man. I am blessed to know this family, I am truly sorry for their loss.I know that Jerry will live on in every thing that they do. I will keep Jerry and the Bailey family in my heart and prayers.

My condolences go out to all the Bailey family. I knew Jerry on the job & when I lived in Johnstown while Jerry lived just outside of town. A great guy to work with, talk with & share a few laughs. He also made some great sorgum molasses. Will always miss your great friendly personality with a smile.

Dear Dad,
Thank you for the endless love and kindness you've shared with our family. You always remained true and honest to the family values and the faith Grandma and Grandpa believed in. I know they are so proud of you.
I admire your dedication to your work and the sacrifices you made for your family over the years. You are a man of honor. You taught us by example to work hard and to take pride in everything we do. I am grateful you were able to spend time in your retirement enjoying your family, friends, the outdoors, your gardens, the tree farm, and of course singing. It’s obvious you found your passions in life and enjoyed them.
My heart is so saddened to have witnessed the pain and suffering you endured in your battle to fight cancer the past ten weeks. After all the years you protected me and took care of me as your daughter, I found it unbearable to struggle with the helplessness I felt when wanting to protect you from cancer. I will always remember your constant faith in God’s will and your bravery.
Dad, I know you are at peace and free of pain now. I know your heart is joyful again. I will miss you. I love you. You will always be with me.
Sherri
