Gerald Blake Obituary
Gerald "Jerry" Blake, age 91 of West Jefferson passed away peacefully Friday, December 28, 2018. Jerry was a longtime member of the Trinity Assembly Of God, he was a proud Veteran of the U.S Navy, He retired after 40 years from Columbus Builders Supply, an avid Ohio State fan, loved White Castle's and loved remodeling. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Geraldine Shoemaker. Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 70 years Willene (Reynolds) Blake, children: Charles (Becky) Blake, and Larry (Patty) Blake, grandchildren: Dustin (Lauren) Blake and Megan (Tyler) Anderson, great-grandchildren: Olivia, Brielle, Reese, Remington, and Campbell. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 3, 2019, from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the RADER-McDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME 1355 W. MAIN ST. WEST JEFFERSON, OH 43162 (614) 879-9222, funeral services will immediately follow at 12:00 PM. Jerry will be laid to rest at the Plumwood Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to the Children's Hospital Genetics Research in the honor of his great-granddaughter Brielle. I would like to offer my sincere condolences to Jerry's family, sorry for your loss. Jeremiah 29:11, 12 assures us that God is thinking thoughts of peace towards us, to give us a future and a hope, and that if we come and pray to Him, He will listen to us.
