Dear Sweet Phyllis and girls,
I know you will miss Hal dearly, as will all of us who knew and loved him. I never saw him without a smile and a kind word. He was truly a gentle man of God. He was such a blessing to both Alainna and I in so many ways. We are sad for your loss and ours, but thrilled to know that now he is in heaven with Jesus! And that we will see him again one day in glory!

I am sorry about the loss of your father, husband and friend. The loss of someone we care is difficult to bear. Celebrate a life well lived. The memories will help you through your grief. My thoughts and prayers will be with you in the coming days. God bless and comfort you and your family.

Phyllis & family,
As you already know, Hal introduced himself to me the very first time I attended Maranatha (and the second week, too)...and thereafter. Were it not for Hal's Christian light and life I would not be a Christian tody...nor would my mother and father be in Heaven with Jesus. I will always cherish my many memories of Hal (as a friend, a genuine Christian in every sense of the word, a man, a husband, a father, a grandfather, a confidante, a golfer - in short, a man with a love for our Savior and for other people. He will be missed and I look forward to seeing him again in Heaven someday!

Dearest Phylis and girls, We are so sorry for the loss of Hal but so excited that we are sure we will see him in glory. It pains us that we cannot be there for the service but our prayers are that as Hal's life was lived for our Savior this service will be a testimony to God's grace. We love you all. Gary and Jean
