The family in Ithaca, New York have been thinking a lot about this great grandmother, especially because John is studying world war onw and imagining what it was to be a child of 10 when the U.S. entered the war. What a long life! What an amazing woman...

You'll have a lot of fond memories of Helen to remember, she was such a kind person. My Grandma Emma Duwe thought so much of her, I remember Helen sending postage stamps to Grandma when she was in the nursing home, that's the first thing Grandma would tell me when I'd call her.
