To the family of Jackie Sowell:

As a member of the CAPA staff from 1989-2001, I had the opportunity to work with Jackie, and to experience the love and pride she had for her son, Tre, who seemed to grown up before our eyes. Jackie was an amazing resource, a tireless worker, a stanch defender or what was the "right way" to do things, a loyal friend, and a caring colleague. My heart goes out to you all.

Dear Sowell Family,

I have had the distinct honor and pleasure of working with Jackie for the past 14 years on a variety of projects at CAPA (since moving back to the community in 1991). Every time I needed assistance, advice, support Jackie was my "go to" person and she always helped me obtain whatever it was that I needed -- from event tickets, to community resources to scheduling rehearsal spaces and on and on. The unusual thing about our professional relationship was that I only met her once in person and yet had the most wonderful "phone" friendship one could wish for. I only found out about her passing today and am as shocked and saddened as anyone could be. Please know that Jackie was loved and respected by many, many people and I am truly, truly sorry for your loss. God bless all of you in this very difficult time.

Kind regards,

Karl Koon
