John Allen Leming

Leming John Allen Leming, age 78, of Ashville on April 18, 2013 God wrapped His loving arms around John and took him home to be with the Lord. He was born on Feb. 12, 1935 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Rev. Ossie and Arvena (Moore) Leming. John retired from A-Z Packaging Co. in Columbus after 25 years. A veteran of the U.S. Army and Army National Guard and attended West H.S. Columbus. He was an active member of Crossroads Church for 30 years in Circleville, had been on 18 mission teams in five foreign countries and also served several Navaho reservations, and a few others. Preceded in death by brother James, sister Belva Jean Beard, nephews Freddie Leming and Mark Ellyson, niece Debbie Leming, and brother-in-law, Charles Ellyson. Survived by his wife, Carol (Biggs) Leming of 46 years; daughter, Robin (Gary) Mullins of Prestonsburg, KY; grandson, Christopher Mullins; brothers, Alvie "Bud" (Martha) Leming of Columbus; Rev. Robert (Judy) Leming of Montrose, MI; sisters, Joanne Ellyson of Ashville and Patricia (David) Johnson of Circleville; several cousins, nieces, and nephews; special friends, Elmer and Mary Hines and sons, Melissa Davis, Jacie and Chase Clifton, and all of our Church Family. Special Thanks to the Homereach Hospice nurses and all the doctor's and nurses at Grant Hospital, 7th and 9th floors, also the ER and Dr. Mast. Funeral Service 11 a.m. Monday, April 22, 2013 at Crossroads Church, 5679 Tarlton Rd. Circleville with Pastor Tim Throckmorton officiating. Burial will follow in Harrison Township Cemetery, So. Bloomfield. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the OLIVER-CHEEK FUNERAL HOME, 420 W.
