Joseph Manno Obituary

Manno Joseph V. Manno, age 78, December 26, 2015 at St. Ann's Hospital, after a long illness. Born February 7, 1937 in Maierato Italy, Province of Vibo Valentia in the Calabria Region. Joseph immigrated to the United States in January of 1951. Graduate of The Ohio State School of Cosmetology. After graduation he opened his salon which he owned and operated for 36 years, Manno Beauty Salon in Whitehall. Long-time parishioner of St. Catharine of Siena Church, 3rd Degree K of C Member Marion Co. 3864. He was an avid gardener and a family man. Preceded in death by his parents Francesco and Concetta Manno, brother Antonio, grandsons Donovan, and Kellen. Survived by wife of 44 years, Mariangela Scavo Manno; children, Connie Manno, and Franco (Carrie) Manno; grandchildren, Ava, Max and Owen; sister, Vincenza Liguore, and Rosa (Mark) Marchi; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Friends received Tuesday December 29th, 4-7p.m. at the MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI FUNERAL HOME, 1068 South High Street. K of C Service at 6:45 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Wednesday St. Catharine of Sienna Church, 500 S. Gould Ave., Bexley, Oh 43209. Burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
