COHEN Julius (Julie) Cohen. It is with great sorrow that our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Julie, peacefully passed away on September 19, 2006 at his home in San Rafael, CA surrounded by his loving family. Graduated from Cornell University with a degree in civil engineering. A Veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Navy. A successful real estate developer. Past member of the Olympic Club where he spent many happy hours with his pals working out and playing handball. An avid adventurer, he and his wife Mitzi explored may exotic parts of the world together. One of his greatest pleasures was spending time with his family, training and cheering on his 6 sons as they wrestled competitively. Julie had a keen sense of humor and was an accomplished practical joker. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mitzi of 55 years; loving sons, Richard (Ria), Jeff, Gary (Victoria), Todd (Bobbi), Robert (Kathy), and Adam (Lori); devoted grandfather of Mara (Gil), Elyse, Paige, Annie, Jacob, Jocelyn, Jessica, Derek, Samantha, Bradley, Michala, Daniella, Shelby, and Shayna; loving and extraordinary caregivers, Nellie and Joe Parraco. He will be greatly missed. Private burial service will be held. The family requests contributions to the Marin County Alzheimer's Association, 4340 Redwood Highway, Ste. 23, San Rafael, CA 94903.
