My husband, Jim, worked with Justin. He and Justin hold the same position; however, we are in Minnesota. Whenever the team would meet up out of state, my husband loved getting together with Justin and going out to dinner with him or hanging out. He enjoyed playing video games on-line on the '360 with him. We were so shocked and saddened to hear the news. Even though I never met Justin, my husband has talked often of him before, and frequently this past week. He spoke highly of Justin's kindness, character, and the fun they had. He told me that he did not know of a kinder man than Justin; he respected him so much. Jim and another co-worker were able to make the drive this weekend to be at the memorial. I know it is of little comfort, but I hope there is a sliver of it in knowing that Justin's life touched people all over the country, wherever he was known. He was respected, cared about, and will be missed so very much. For me, I lost my mother, when I was a teenager, to similar circumstances. Not a day goes by that I don't remember her; however, I have to admit that the pain has lessened over the years, allowing the good memories their ability to be the ones that shine. Our prayers will be with all of you today and in the days, months, and years to come. Justin will be remembered.
Sincerely, Chris, Jim, Justin, and Allison Myrah

When I moved from Florida in 1994 to Northridge High in Johnstown/Alexandria area, I met Justin my first day at a new school and he helped make it better until I got more comfortable in my new school. I was a Junior and he was a Senior. I got the opportunity to work with him again at Meijer when we both we in college in the photo lab. I never saw him after I went to paramedic school and hadnt seen him since then. I will miss him!!!!

Malinda and family: My heart goes out to you and I will be praying for you and your family. 5 years ago in June my daughter in law, also 34, was taken from us unexpectedly. She left behind her husband and two children. I live by this saying, "NO FAREWELL WORDS WERE SPOKEN, NOT TIME TO SAY GOODBYE. YOU WERE GONE BEFORE WE KNEW IT AND ONLY GOD KNOWS WHY". Time will heal. Remember the good times. Talk about Justin and laugh over the memories.

When I heard of Justin's passing, I had to get out my scrapbook of our 2001 trip to France. Justin, my friend Janet, and I had such adventures on that trip together as the 'young' people in the group. He was such a fun-loving guy who'd help anyone out. You have my sympathies--he will surely be missed by all who knew him.

To Malinda, Riley, Scott, Sandy, Joanne, Tristan, and all of Justin's family and friends:
It was with a heavy heart that I heard the news of Justin's passing this week. I didn't know Justin well as a man, but we enjoyed many fun and happy memories together as high school friends, and I was so glad to reconnect with him recently to see that he had flourished into a wonderful husband and father. Even through the impersonal medium of the Internet, it was easy to see that he loved his family immensely, worked hard and enjoyed life to the fullest. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.
