Kent Kerns Obituary

Kerns Kent Joseph Kerns, age 63, formerly of Columbus, Ohio, passed away June 18, 2016 in Sarasota, Florida. Born in Pleasanton, California, he was a Vietnam era veteran of the United States Air Force. Kent had been a paramedic for the Ohio State University and volunteered for the Grandview Police Department prior to his illness. Kent was preceded in death by his father Joseph Kerns and survived by wife, Loraine; daughter, Candace Myers; grandchildren, Luke Kerns and Kimberly Myers; mother, Osia (Summers) Kerns; brother, Paul (Sue) Kerns. Kent's ashes will rest in the Gulf of Mexico as he wished. Kent loved dogs. Friends who wish may contribute to the Capital Area Humane Society in Kent's memory.

Hi Loraine. This is Judy Legg. I was the secretary in the Fire Department at OSU where Kent was a medic with us. I met you and your daughter several times, but not sure if you remember me. I am so sorry for your loss. I retired in 2005 from OSU and am now living in AZ.
