I grew up with Kent in Eden, NY. He lived down the street from us. He was best friends with my sister Erin, so I in a way was like a big sister to him. We all had so many good times together. He always could make you laugh. Kent was a true friend, a real genuine person who was loyal and passionate about the people he cared for and what was important to him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and son at this most difficult time.
Kent - You will be missed by so many.

I went to school with Kent and we grew up together in Eden. I just found out, and am completely distraught. He was one of my best friends in school and after, we always joked around that we were like brother and sister, we even had a special saying for it. I can't believe that this has happened and that he's gone. I saw him last summer when he came here to visit and it was like old times, like no time had gone by. My heart aches for his family and son. He was always so passionate about everything he did, and very caring to the people around him. I don't know how to not have him in my life... I Love You Kent,

My heartfelt sympathies go out to Kent’s family, his son Lennon and girlfriend Nicci. I met Kent at Chase and although I have not seen him in almost a year, Kent unforgettable.
I will never forget the look of joy and happiness on Kent’s face whenever he talked about his son Lennon, his girl Nicci or his music.
Kent – you will be missed greatly. I take solace in the fact that you are in a better place.

My heart goes out to the Young Family:
I knew Kent through my son Mike. They played together in Product of Thought. He had been a good friend to Mike and helped him out on more than one occasion. Kent impressed me with his thoughtfulness and kind heart. He was a very smart talented individual. Kent will be greatly missed. My condolences go out to his family and his son. My you find comfort knowing that the family is being lifted up in prayer, that God may somehow lessen your pain and grief during this time.

I remember sitting in the studio observing the band and Kent interact. They were like a family, as it should be. Kent cutting up with everyone; he knew it was my first time in a studio so he made it a point in the midst of everything to talk with me and answer questions I had about the studio side of music; he didn't have to, but he did...that's what made Kent, Kent.
I worked with Kent at Chase, which is where we first met. When he left we lost touch, but I used to ask Nicci how things were going when I saw her..
There is an enormous shadow over Columbus and abroad due to this sad and tragic loss to, not only the music industry, but the planet. I don't call many a friend, but I considered him one definitely.
To the family-
My sincerest and deepest sympathies.
To Nicci-you're connection with him doesn't end, it just changes.
To Lennon- When you're old enough, I'm sure you'll chuckle that little chuckle your daddy used to do. you will warm your family's heart with it, and perhaps even create tears of joy and rememberance.
Kent-
you Touched many, many lives my man.....many more than I think you thought you would.
Miss you man. Missed you for a year brother....miss you now..
I will write again, you always told me to stay with it. I will. I promise.

I haven't seen Kent in a long time. I moved away from Columbus about 4 years ago. I was extremely surprised and saddened when I got a phone call today telling me what happened. I always remember Kent being so nice and kind. He always seemed to keep everybody else together. I only ever new Kevin out of his siblings and I knew he always looked out for him. I also met his parents and I could see where he got it from. They are both very nice people. I worked at the door of a rock bar and when they would come see his shows me and him mother would just chat. I know he will be deeply missed by all. I only wish I could have seen him before he left us. He was to young and it should not have happened. He was so talented. It just shows us all how short life is and not to take it for granted

Kent was a great guy. I worked with him at Chase and he was exceptional at his job, as well as being musically talented. He loved his son so much. Kent will be missed by many.
