I never knew Mr. Lance Herrera- Dempsey but we both come from the same location. I did know his grandparents, Mr. and Ms. Herrera through my grandparents, Mr. C.J and Margarita Valenzuela as a young man. Surprising, Lance and I, both ended up in the same, city, Columbus but we never crossed paths with each other here in Columbus.
I sincerely was saddened to hear that Lance had passed away both coming from the same city in Califorina.
May enteral light shine on him and bring him enteral peace.

Lance was our friend that we met while stationed in Korea. We ran Korea together having the best time three people could have. My husband and I will be forever heartbroken. God bless his family and especially Steve.

It was my honor and privilege to know Lance for nearly 20 years. Always thoughtful and considerate: He and Steve brought food to the church at my mother's funeral without being asked. And it's a good thing....there wouldn't have been enough! A good cook, we enjoyed many cookouts/dinners at their home and mine. He will be dearly missed by anyone who knew him. Good-bye my friend - gone but never forgotten.

Dear Mr. Dempsey, family, friends and employees of USPS that knew and loved Lance: I am a customer who knew Lance as a supervisor at the Dublin Ohio post office. He was ALWAYS courteous, friendly, professional, and went above an beyond to address issues on behalf of all the customers in the Dublin, Ohio USPS territory. He was a great jokster, too. I am heartbroken over his and Ginger's loss. Please know that I will keep you and all who are struggling in their grief in my thoughts and prayers. Debbie O'Neill, Dublin, Ohio

Lance was our neighbor for over ten years. He was always doing things for us. He cut our grass, helped to shovel the snow and even removed some ugly small evergreen bushes from in front of our home. He was always smiling and making us laugh. More than just a neighbor he was our friend. He will be missed. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace!

Lance was my neighbor but more importantly he was my friend! I will never forget our talks, visits and get togethers.
This is extremely difficult beyond words.
Lance was a shining light to me and to many many others! I love you, Lance!

My condolences to all of Lance's family and friends. He was my supervisor at the post office. I gave Lance a hug and told him Merry Christmas when I left work on Friday. He is greatly missed!
