My father and Lee's father Emerson Lydic worked together at a company called "Standard Slag" for almost 40 years and I became friends with Lee during that time when we were young children and remained friends all these years. Lee and myself had so much fun at the Standard Slag picnics and knew we would remain friends because of our passion for cars. Lee was a man of honor and loyalty and he would give the shirt off his back if someone needed it. Even though he moved to the Columbus area, Lee never forgot his friends. I consider myself a lucky person for having known Lee and to have been a part of his life. He will be sadly missed by all he has come in contact with. I will not cry for your passing, but I will with have a toast to celebrate your life. Thanks for the memories.

Ann Marie, It was with great sadness that I learned of the passing of your beloved Lee. You are such a good, faithful, and kind woman, and I know that the two of you will be united again on the day of God's Great and Glorious Day of Judgment. My Our Lord and Savior nurture you and keep you in this dark time and may He shine the light of Heaven upon Lee's immortal soul. My Anne Marie joins me in offering the most sincerest of condolences to you and your family. We will open the last bottle of wine that he made for us, and with a great smile, enjoy it in tribute to a life very well lived. Peace be unto you and unto his spirit.

I first meet Lee in 1974 though some friends. We were at his house and everyone was taking his bike for a ride. Lee told me to take it,I never been on a bike be for he showed me were everything was and said it was low on gas,so off I went the ride lasted about 10 min. thats when it stopped running and coasted down a big hill. After pushing it up that hill and a couple of blocks I got it back to his house. Its out of gas I said as the sweat ran down my face. He walked over turned on the reserve tank. He smiled and gave that special laugh of his and started the bike. Thats when our frindship begun. Lee would do anything, anytime for anyone. He made you feel special like family. If you did'nt know Lee you missed knowing a very special person. And if you did your life is a little sadder with his passing I know mine is I LOST A FRIEND TODAY thanks for the memories love you and miss you.
