Lewis Wihl Obituary

Wihl Lewis H. Wihl, age 87, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2014 at Sunrise on the Scioto. Retired Postman. Veteran US Navy. Lewis was a lifelong member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, American Legion #532, VFW #4044, NAUS, Knights of Columbus #2898 and the Columbus Maennerchor. He was also an avid golfer. Preceded in death by parents Herman and Cecile, wife Janet, son Donald Wihl, sister-in-law Kathryn Wihl. Survived by grandchildren, Jennifer (Zach) Hall, Donald (Jody) Wihl and Debbie Caceres; great grandchildren, Daylon, Zachariah, Joshua, Ashley, Gavin, Santos and Ma'Liyah; brothers, John (Marilyn) Wihl and Donald Wihl; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Friends may call at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME, 2693 W. Broad St., Wednesday 5-8 p.m. Funeral service and interment 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel at St. Joseph Cemetery, 6440 S. High Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heartland Hospice, 6500 Busch Blvd., Suite 210, Columbus, OH, 43229.
