Lynda Lay Obituary

Lay Lynda C. Lay, age 73, of Belle Center, Ohio passed away at her home on May 1, 2015 at 7 p.m. She was born on May 17, 1941 in Piqua, Ohio the daughter of the late John and Elona (Olsen) Campbell. On March 31, 1961 she married Edward E. Lay and he passed away March 29, 2008. She is survived by her children, Brian Lay (Fiance' Lisa Fatica) of Columbus, OH, Tracy (Glenn) Miller of Columbus, OH, and Lisa (Mike) Stamos of Westerville, OH; grandchildren, Tasha Lay, Chelsi (Chris) Jackson, Jack Miller, Gary Miller, Hannah Stamos, Jessica Stamos, Leah Stamos, and Nicholas Fatica-Lay; great grandson, Gibson Dunham; brothers, John (Linda) Campbell of Fort Loramie, OH and Mike (Kay) Campbell of Bowling Green, OH; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a very special friend, Marvin Harbour of Belle Center, OH. Lynda graduated from Belle Center High School in 1959 and attended Ohio Northern University for 4 years. During her working career she worked as a Teachers Aide with the Columbus City Schools and then worked as an Insurance Claims Adjuster. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Kenton, a member of Pheasants Forever, and a life member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. A Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday May 7, 2015 at 11 a.m. at St. John's United Church of Christ with Rev. Scott Johnson officiating. Friends will be received at the church one hour prior to the service. Following the service a luncheon will be held in the fellowship hall. A private committal service will be held by the family at the Belle Center Fairview Cemetery. SCHINDEWOLF STOUT CRATES FUNERAL HOME will be conducting the services. Her family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations in Lynda's memory be made to Hardin County Hospice. Online condolences may be left for the family by visiting stoutcrates.com.

Lynda, I am struggling with your absence. I am so grateful that we talked and you comforted me over the last few years. I will look for you in my garden, with Checkers while watching the humming birds and oriels nest. God speed.
