Martha Lyles Rowley

ROWLEY Martha Lyles Rowley, of Columbus, Saturday, May 14, 2005 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. Attended Our Lady of the Lake College in San Antonio, Texas. Graduated college at 19. Was an Air Force wife and traveled extensively with husband and family. Worked for the State of Ohio for 24 years. After retirement owned gift Shop - 7 Gingham Square from 1984 until 2004. She was an accomplished artist and craftsperson. Martha was a longtime member of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church of Refugee Rd. She was a loving Mother and will be so missed by her family. Preceding Martha in death was her father George Lyles and mother Henrietta Lyles, husband John "Jack" Rowley, and brother John D. Lyles. Survived by three children, Kim Simmerman and husband Wray, John Rowley Jr. and wife Cynthia, and Steven Rowley all of Reynoldsburg; eight grandchildren, Michelle Dennis and husband Trent of Groveport, Tracey Shick of Columbus, Matthew Rowley and wife Rebecca of Canal Winchester and Amy Rowley of Reynoldsburg, Shannon Rowley, Christin Rowley, Sean and Sheridan Rowley all of Reynoldsburg; four great grandchildren, Brandon and Brittany Dennis of Groveport, Tristan Rowley and Kevin Thomas Jr. both of Reynoldsburg and very soon to be born Tyler Matthew Rowley of Canal Winchester; nieces, nephews, brother-in-law and many friends. Friends may call Tuesday 5-8 p.m. and Wednesday 1/2 hour prior to service EVANS FUNERAL HOME, 4171 E. Livingston Ave., where service will be held Wednesday 10 a.m. Pastor Dwayne Shugert officiating. Interment Glen Rest Cemetery.
