Dear Jeanne,

Just want you to know that you have been in my thoughts and prayers, and will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. I don't think there has been a day that has gone by without you and Marv on my mind. The laughs and great fun times we shared so many years ago I'll always remember with a smile. I know the support of your dear girls, Allison and Amy, your dear family and friends will get you through this difficult time; and you know Our God will be with us always, may He grant us peace and understanding as to why we must endure suffering.

With heartfelt sympathy,
Judi James

I grew up with Marvin. His dad, Carl, was the pastor of Wonderland in the '50's. We had a lot of good times, especially Labor Day. The whole church would have a breakfast cook out at Sunrise Park in Lancaster, we would then go to Old Man's Cave and the Rock House. The first day of school, we were so sore from all the climbing, we could hardly walk. But what fun and fond memories. Though I have been away from the area since 1968, I do have memories of the kid, Marvin. I know, he was proud of his family and grandchildren. I saw him about 18 mo. ago and he raved about the grandchildren. Jeanne, you were a very good wife to him. He was proud of the whole family....Know that in life you all made him very happy! Now, even in our sorrow, we know he has reached his ultimate goal. God be with you during this time of sorrow..and as you remeber the good times.

We will never forget the lunches after church at Sumitt Station with Marvin and his wonderful family. We are sure he was met at the gate by our daughter Stephanie and shown around Gloryland. Hope he likes softball! One thing we know for sure, "Heaven is a sweeter place with him there". What an honor to know the Luckett family. "To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die". Marvin will live forever..To Jeanne, Amy and Allison, God Bless you and know that you are not alone.

Pastor Marvin was a blessing to all of us at Wonderland Church. In the short amount of time that he was with us he helped many people in our congregation. He worked hard to help us obtain our new building for classroom space and fellowship which we had been in need of for so many years. It is now known as the Luckett Family Center. Pastor Marvin was called to come to us by the Lord and he obeyed that call as a faithful servant and leader. He allowed God's spirit to use him in the restoration of our church. The unity and love that he brought to us all was immeasurable. He was like a fresh cool drink of water in a hot desert. He was not only a pastor but a dear friend to my husband and I as well as to many others in our church. He was a great encourager and a true 'Buddy' as well as a leader. He will always be in our hearts. Vikki and Dan Glaze
