Mary Benson Obituary
Mary Catherine (Kate) Benson, age 93, Sunday, August 27, 2017. Born in Columbus daughter of the late Phillip and Grace (Madden) Nesser. Also preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Thomas J. Benson Sr., daughter-in-law Kathleen St. John Benson and 8 sisters and brothers. Survived by children, Thomas J. Benson Jr., Michael J. Benson (Margo), Kathleen "Beany" Balmert (Michael), Rebecca J. Cavanaugh (Edward); 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; dear friend and devoted companion, Joseph Achtner and his daughters, Therese and Essie; numerous relatives and friends. Friends may call 3-7 p.m. Wednesday, Rosary 3:30 p.m., at the EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 4661 Kenny Rd. Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church Plain City, Ohio. Burial Resurrection Cemetery.

Kate and Joe were my neighbors for 15 years and we are so sorry to here about her passing.

God Bless you Kate. I will always remember you with a smile. What a gift it was to know you . I will always be grateful for that dog you rescued who ended up in our home. Rest in peace beautiful lady. Hugs to Beany, Becky and their families.
