Mary Coombs Obituary
Mary Linda Coombs, age 74, of North Canton, passed away at Aultman Hospital on February 16, 2021. She was born on September 12, 1946 in Athens, Ohio to Russell Durward Warren and Wilomet Pauline (Elliott) Warren. She spent her formative years in Wellston, Ohio roller skating through the Rogan Hotel which her parents ran. Mary Linda graduated from Thomas Worthington High School, Worthington, Ohio in 1965. She was formerly employed in the Abstract Department at the Ohio State University and served as the office manager for Dr. Goulder in Columbus. She was later employed by Diebold Nixdorf in Canton. Mary Linda participated in the Stark County Library Ancestory and loved to read. She followed old classic films and the actors and actresses that starred in them. Mary Linda enjoyed listening to show tunes and Broadway music. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Rex, whom she married on March 17, 1992; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents. A celebration of life service with close family and friends will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to the Stark County Humane Society, P.O. Box 7077, Canton, Ohio 44705. Mary Linda, you are leaving a gap in our family too soon. We understand that you’ve had a lot of health struggles in recent times so we’re glad you don’t have to deal with them now, but we weren’t prepared for you to be taken by Covid.
