Mary M. Peery Simmons

SIMMONS Mary M. Peery Simmons, age 88, beloved by all who knew her, went to be with the Lord November 25, 2009. She was born April 23, 1921 in Roanoke, VA, and graduated from Fincastle High School. Preceded in death by husband Delma R. Simmons, and sister Ruby Peery. She was a retired sales associate with F&R Lazarus Co. after many years of service. She was a longstanding member of the Living Word Church, formerly the Redeemer United Brethren Church. Survived by son, Roy (Susan) Simmons; daughter, Brenda (Marvin) Beculhimer; grandchildren, Christopher and Jeremy Simmons, and John-Michael (Karen) Beculhimer; great grandchildren, Grace, Rachel, and Elizabeth Beculhimer; nieces and nephews. Friends may call Sunday, 2-5 p.m. at the O.R. WOODYARD CO. CHAPEL, 1346 S. High St. Further service will be held at the Rader Funeral Home in Daleville, VA. Interment Haymaker Town Cemetery in VA.
