Melvin Noe Obituary

NOE Melvin L. Noe, 78, a lifetime resident of Central Ohio was born in Columbus, where he spent the majority of his life. He has lived in many cities around the area, and served in the U.S. Navy from 1952-56 where he spent time in Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, and the Phillipines. Mr. Noe died on August 30, 2011 in Columbus. He is predeceased by his parents Frank and Cleo Noe and survived by wife, Carole Sue; daughters, Kathy (Brian) Chevrier and Linda (Jason) Pebworth; and granddaughter, Lexie. He is also survived by brothers, Norman (Linda) Noe and David (Marilyn) Noe. Mr. Noe graduated from Linden McKinley High School and attended The Ohio State University. He graduated from Marion Business College, Marion, Ohio in Accounting and Business Administration. He worked as administrator of the Ohio Operating Engineers Health and Welfare Fund in Columbus, Ohio. He also held various accounting and administrative positions throughout his career. Family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St. (1/2 mile south of I-270), where a funeral service will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. Private burial to be observed by the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Online condolences may be made to www.schoedinger.com.
