Michael Joseph Yankulov

YANKULOV Michael Joseph Yankulov, "Bear", 72, of Centerburg Pointe, Centerburg, Ohio, passed away on January 24, 2012. Michael was born to the late Mary and Joseph Yankulov on December 2, 1941. He attended school in Columbus, Ohio and served in the Marines before later settling in Tampa, FL. A passion for food and laughter, he spent most of his career as a Cook and a Kitchen Manager; where you could always be assured of great food and a good joke! Later in life, he worked as a security guard. In addition to his parents Michael was preceded in death by his brother Albert Joseph Yankulov. He is survived by three children, Pamela Gans Demarest (Peter) of Glen Mills, PA.; Bryan Yankulov of Mt. Vernon, Oh.; and Deborah Yankulov of Powell, Oh.; as well as six grandchildren, Morgan Gans, Jessica Gans, Andrew Gans, Skylar McGugin, Chase McGugin, and Emma McGugin. He is also survived by sister, Marrianne Beckelheimer; sister -in-law, Phyllis Yankulov; and son-in-law, Gary Gans. Michael is also survived by four nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends in remembrance of his life at 10-11 a.m., February 18, 2012, Greenlawn Cemetery Chapel, 1000 Greenlawn Ave., Columbus, OH 43223; followed by a private burial service. "To live in the hearts we leave behind is not to die". Bear made an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him. Happy with simple things; warm and kind, he had a quick wit and contagious laugh...and the best hugs!
