Neal Strausbaugh Obituary

STRAUSBAUGH Neal Strausbaugh, 75, of Columbus, formerly of Trimble Township, lost his battle with cancer on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at the Highbanks Care Center in Columbus. Born April 14, 1936 in Athens County, he was the son of the late Charles and Anna Mayes Strausbaugh. He was a retired auto mechanic. He is survived by his wife, Laura M. Strausbaugh of Columbus; two sons, Neil (Angie) Mohler and Robert (Miriam) Strausbaugh, both of Columbus; one daughter, Mamie (Gary) Miller of Columbus; one step-son, CJ (Tina) Moore; three step-daughters, Betty (David L.) Potts Hobbs, Tammy (Mark) Witherspoon, and Trena (Bryan) Reese; grandchildren, Jack, Joanna, Jessica, David, Goldie, Neil Jr., Amber, Kenneth, Amanda, Scott, Shawn, Sarah, Steven James, David Joseph, and Nicholas; several great-grand-children; two brothers, Harvey (Darlene) Strausbaugh of Ashtabula and Eugene Strausbaugh of Glouster; and one sister, Sharon (Jerry) Rayburn of Arizona. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter Goldie Ryan, two grand-daughters Tabitha and Samantha, two brothers Joe and George Strausbaugh and one sister Anna Louise King. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday November 1, 2011 at the Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville with Pastor Larry Swartz officiating. Interment will be in the Maplewood Cemetery, Glouster. Friends may call at the MORRISON FUNERAL CHAPEL, 6525 S. State Route 78, Glouster, Ohio 45732 on Monday from 5-8 p.m. Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 5555 Frantz Road, Dublin, Ohio 43017.
