Nellie Mae Bumgartner

Bumgartner Nellie Mae Bumgartner, age 89, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 3, 2014. Nellie was born April 1, 1925 to Harry and Grace (Weber) Kinser in Columbus. She is preceded in death by husband Herman "Tom" Bumgartner, July 1977, daughter Cherie D. McFerin, June, 2014 and siblings Mildred (Bill) Mize, Harry (Eleanor) Kinser and Chuck (Pat) Kinser. Nellie is survived by son, John (Becky) Bumgartner; son-in-law, Tommy McFerin; grandchildren, MaeEtte (Bill) Magee, Leah (Todd) Matteson, John Tyler Bumgartner; great-grand-children, Tommy and Colby Magee, Talan and Taylor Matteson. She loved ballroom dancing and won numerous awards; but her greatest love was her family and cooking from scratch. The family will receive friends on WEDNESDAY, August 6, 2014, from 5-7 p.m. at PFEIFER FUNERAL HOME, 7915 E. Main Street, Reynoldsburg. A Graveside Service will follow on Thursday, 10 a.m. in the Union Cemetery, 3349 Olentangy River Road, Columbus. The entire family wants to thank her daughter, Cherie, for all the wonderful years of loving care and most recently, the caregivers at Winchester Place Nursing Home and Hospice of Central Ohio.
