I am so sorry for your loss! It was a great joy and honor to serve Mr Cannell when ever he came into Bravo! And I was working. Even if I didn’t wait on him just talking to him was a pleasure!!!

Dear Jim, Lynne, Susie, Missie and families,
We were so sad to hear that our dear friend Nick passed away. But we are rejoicing for him that he is in his heavenly home with Jesus, his dear wife Hope, his son Steve, and those he loved who went before him. He now has a totally healthy body again. We know the Lord's words to him are "Well done, good and faithful servant!" I loved talking with Nick about his family and since i have a Greek son-in-law he would always ask how Andrew is doing. He was such a generous man to so many and to The Christian and Missionary Alliance. We are eternally grateful for his partnership with us.
We are so thankful to each of you that helped make sure that Nick got such good care. May God richly bless you for all you have done. Praying for you all at this time of loss.

Nick Cannell was very instrumental in the early stages of when my father Mike DeFantis passed away on October 17th, 1954 in helping our family in the early going when he passed on. Strange how things work looking back because that was my 8th birthday.
My father as Nick reminded me countless times in conversations over many decades was very instrumental when Nick started taking over the day to day operations from his father of running Quality Bakery in Columbus Ohio. My last actual face to face with Nick was at my Uncle John Morgan’s funeral many years ago in Columbus as I drove up from Georgia as Nick was accompanied by his son Jim.
Sadly, as things turned out, a phone call, and my last to Nick about a month ago in me offering condolences about the passing of his son Steve, who was actually a great facebook friend for many years. Always over the years a friendly phone call and me sending a Christmas card as it always triggered a phone call both ways.
This man, the great person which I recall with our family in the early years of my life was very well connected as Dad and Mom would see Hope and Nick out and about. I would have absolutely no problems driving many hours up to pay my respects to Nick and his family. However the current situation today are very difficult with the Covid-19 situation in making it not feasible under these conditions to make that trip. Our family connection as far back as I can remember will be with me forever, sadly the direct connection is now broken, and remember the many times a smile is brought to one’s face when his name is mentioned.
Rest In Peace Mr. Cannell

My Godfather Nick was a cherished part of my life with his loving and exuberant outlook. Joni and I will miss waving to him on our daily walks by his house. We feel so fortunate to have had him in our lives for so many years.

I had the privilege of serving as primary care physician to both Nick and to Hope as well as Nick‘s mother. What a caring and gracious family. Nick was uplifting and generous to others around him and positively touched the lives of so many people. It truly was a privilege to know him and I know that as he was a man of faith he is in a better place but he will be missed by all who knew him. My prayers are with him and his family.

I am so saddened to learn of the passing of Mr Cannell. My prayers are lifted up for the family of this wonderful man. I was blessed to know him through his physician’s office. I will always remember his kindness, his welcoming smile and how he always asked about family. May God comfort and give peace to the Cannell family.
