Patrick Chew Obituary

CHEW Patrick Chew, 17, of Columbus, Tuesday, November 1, 2005 at OSU Hospital. Student at the Life Skills Center. He loved music and being with his family and friends. Survived by his mother, Mona King and father, Patrick Chew Sr.; brothers, Greg, William and Joel; sister, Monique; half-sister, Shalonda Chew; and half-brother, Tavarse Chew; grandparents, Lillian and James Pickeral and Elsie Chew; niece, Kanyla; nephew, Marshawn; special friend, Paul Harris; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral service 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2005 at Praise Temple Community Church, 1159 Clinton St., Columbus, where family and friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. service time. Burial to follow at Eastlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Patrick Chew Trust Fund c/o Mona King at any National City Bank. Arrangements by RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High St., Worthington.

I remember Patrick always being sweet to me. We went to school together at Crestview middle school and whenever we walk past each other,he had the sweetest smile. And that smile Made me feel special it was so genuine Even his eyes seem to smile . Even till this day I see his face clear as day. Hey,

How is it going? Well it has been over 1 month now and I am sure that This passed month and the many more months still to pass have been the hardest month for some of us but the best month of Pats life. Now he has no worries and complaints he will never be hurt or in pain again he can watch over the person that he loves the most (His Mother)and all of the people that care about him so much! His love will never leave us and he will always watch over us untill the day we meet him again at the doors of heaven. I send all of my Prayers out to you and wish you all the best of luck though the Holidays. ( Mona, Joell, Will, Gerg,Monique and family) I love ya all and i am here if you all ever need anything.

man,man,man.when i heard what happened i went crazy, i was messed up for about a week.i knew pat since i was 8 years old.we grew up together.every day when we were lil kids i would come over at atleast 10 o'clock in the mourning asking for pat.i wolud come over so often that who ever answerd the door would'nt even asked me who i wanted cause they already knew.we did everything together, we had our fights but we knew we couldnt stay without each other for more than a day.i send my sorrows out to you Mona,Joel,Greg,William,and Monique.i love you all.Joel you know your like a bro to me, i'll do anything in the world for you.i wish i was there to hug you right now man.it wont be long till i get back home but remember Pat is with the Lord now its better for him to be there than anywhere else.

Dear Miss Mona and Family,

There has been alot of things going on lately and Pat will all ways be missed. It is crazy i think about Pat all of the time there is not 1 min that goes by that i do not think about him. I love you all and Pat with everything. Every night i go in my room and talk to Pat befor i go to sleep. I know that Pat is still out walking the streets with us he is sitting here with me as i write this to you he is with you and watching over us all the time. He loves us all. God Bless. My younger brothers (Torrance(T.J.) and Terry) knew your sons and often went to your home in their Hudson Elemantary days. I just knew Patrick from the neighborhood. I always called him my Puerto Rican baby. I was devasted when I heard he had passed. I am very sorry to hear about your loss. I'll keep you all in my prayer. May God be with you!

For Pat's family, we are truly sorry to hear about Pat. We could not hardly believe what had happened to him. But everything is going to be okay, because he is in a good and better place. we went to crestview with Patrick and he was a good friend of ours. He always found a way to make us laugh.He was the type you would come to school just to see.Now that he is gone he will be greatly missed! his life ended to soon he had alot of opportunities ahead of him!

mona & family I'm so sorry about you loss I wish no one would ever have to go through this. Patrick will be missed very much he was known of places by his smile god took him because you raised him well and he was the best so god took Pat to show the rest. Pat will be surely missed by all. Hey Patrick's family my name is LaShawnda and I attened Crestview Middle School with Patrick. I just could not believe that this happened. It seems like it was yesterday that were at Crestview talking and laughing together. I am really going to miss him. I wanted to visit him at the hospital but I just couldn't go in the room to see him like that. I didn't find out that Pat was gone until Wednesday afternoon on the internet. I cried all night long. I hope that you will understand that he is in a better place and that he was a great person. He is looking down on us right now waiting for the day we will be with him where there is no pain and nothing but better days. I hope that you all are ok and I would just like to let you know how sorry I am that you have to go through this tragic loss.

My heart goes out to you during this time. It seemed like a dream when I saw what had happened on the news.i didn't want to believe it when a mutual friend of ours called and confirmed it. I had just talk to Pat the night before because I was telling him that he wasn't going to get up on time because we all know that he is not a morning person. He told me that he was and that he would call me when he got home after school. That was the last time that I talked to him. When I last saw him we were at Long John Silver's and he was telling me about the family. He spoke so highly of you all.I wish that I could hear his laugh and see his smile one more time and i know that you feel the same. He means so much to me and I cannot believe that something so tragic could happen to someone like him.He is in a better place watching over you and your family. Dear Miss Mona & Family,

I am so sorry for your loss of a great person.pat was a good friend of mine and he is sadly missed.I was crying the other night and my dad came in to talk to me and what he said to me was "Brittiany dont be sad if anything you should be jealious, Pat is so lucky, theres no more worring,pain,or suffering he walking beside god and could not be in a better place, That made me feel so much better and now when I think about it I am a little jealous.I will continue to pray for you and your family,and talk to pat everynight in my prayers.I also want to thank you & your family for giving me the oppurtunity to come and see him at the hospital.I will always beleave he knew I was there.
