Phyllis M. Rucker

Rucker Phyllis M. Rucker, 84, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 1, 2017. Phyllis was a 1951 Holloway High School graduate; long-time member of First Baptist Church of Gahanna; retired from Donatos Bakery after 29 years faithful service. She was an 18 year breast cancer survivor. Phyllis enjoyed sports, and was an avid OSU fan. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years Larry Rucker, Sr., parents Claire and Sophia Murphy, sisters Patricia Cooley and Frances Thatcher and brother Donald Murphy. Phyllis is survived by her children, Larry "Rusty" Rucker, Jr. and Lori (Larry) Haimerl; and grandson, DJ Haimerl. Family will receive friends 2-4 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church of Gahanna, 520 Havens Corners Rd., Gahanna and one hour prior to the funeral service at 11 a.m Monday at the church. Phyllis' family would like to thank Pastor Dove and the church family at First Baptist Church for their love and support.
