Phyllis Aurelia Scholl

Scholl Phyllis Aurelia Scholl, age 90, of Columbus, passed away April 6, 2015. She was a devoted wife, mother, grand, and great-grandmother. Born to Edward and Evelyn Schmelzer, of Bremen, Ohio. She moved to Columbus after high school to attend Bliss Business College. Phyllis married the love of her life, Merle Scholl, November 6, 1947. She enjoyed sewing, card clubs, and travelling. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church where she was the organist for 50 years and a co-recipient of the first servant of Christ the King award for her dedicated service. Her loves were her family, her music, and her church. Phyllis is survived by her children, Kathryn Davis, Michael (Marcie), and Kris (Tim); grandchildren, Jill (Tim), Adam (Kim), Maddie, Miranda, Mollie, and Michaela; great-grandchildren, Lukas, Nickolas, and Cassidy; in-laws, Dean (Wanda) Scholl, Eileen Stemen, and Lelia Morehead; cousins, John K. (Mary Eleanor) Schmelzer and Harold (Ruby) Blackston. Preceded in death by her husband Merle son-in-law Ron Davis, and great-grandson Collin Timothy Althoff. Family will receive friends Thursday, April 9, 2015, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the MAEDER QUINT TIBERI FUNERAL HOME, 1068 S. HIGH ST. Mass of Christian Burial Friday April 10, 2015, 10 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 2777 E. Livingston Ave. Burial St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Lancaster, Ohio.
