Randall Pees Obituary

PEES Randall William Pees, age 64, of Columbus, died unexpectedly, but peacefully, on April 16, 2007, at the home he shared with his daughter and son-in-law. He is survived by his son, William Pees; daughter, Ann (Russ) Vance; granddaughters, Elena and Natalie Vance; sister, Marilyn (Greg) Sands; friend and ex-wife, Mary Jane Pees; friend, Mary Alice Scherer; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Vera (Prater) Pees. He graduated from Wauseon High School, The Ohio State University, and the Ohio State University Law School. For many years he had his own law practice in the German Village area of Columbus, OH. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his two granddaughters. He was a daily part of their lives and they shared a mutual adoration of each other. He also enjoyed reading, working on the computer, and loved a good debate. Memorial service will be held Saturday, April 28, 2007 at 4 p.m. at O.R. WOODYARD FUNERAL HOME, 2990 Bethel Road, Columbus, OH 43220. Family will receive friends starting at 2 p.m. and welcomes them to share memories and help us celebrate his life at the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to the Salvation Army or charity of your choice. On-line condolences and special memories may be sent to: www.dispatch.com/obituaries.

If this is the Randy Pees I briefly knew, his quick wit will be a loss to the world.

Dad will be sorely missed by me and the girls, Elena and Natalie. Elena lost her "best pal." I did, too. Fortunately, we have years of wonderful memories to cherish. Love you, Dad.

Randy was my older, and only, sibling and I will always miss him-as I do our parents. He was a part of my heart.

Randy's quick wit, sense of humor and ability to tell and enjoy a funny story will be remembered by all who knew him.
