Sending sincere sympathy to Rita and Bob and the entire Denlinger family. Our thoughts are with you. We are so privileged to have fathers who were truly part of the "Greatest Generation". I remember your dad as such a talented and gentle person, always ready with a kind word.

To The Denlinger Family,
Richard will truly be missed, but never forgotten as he touched so many people whether it was with his smile, funny hand and eye tricks, his remarkable artwork, or long stories. His kindness and gentle heart was a true gift that he shared with those that took time to be with him.
Janice you lost a husband, a companion of many years and your continued strength will carry you forward. Some of you lost a Father, Brother, Uncle, Grandfather and the great memories are to be treasured. He showed that Life is Full with his endurance and zest.
I am blessed and fortunate to call Richard my Friend, who appreciated the little things in life such as the birds feasting in the bird feeders outside the windows, the puffy white clouds floating in the blue skies above, simply smelling the fresh air as he sat outside admiring the crops growing in his fields, or the little animals that passed through for a bite to eat, or just relaxing on his couch looking outside at all the beauty, but most of all Richard's positive attitude to wake up and live each day with so much appreciation.
This is a time to celebrate, to reflect, to cherish the special times that Richard touched us with. He now rests in peace after a long life shared with us.
Lisa Good

We love you Great Grandpa! ❤

I met Mr D a few times. Some how we got to know each other, My Dad and He worked at DM, plus my Dad and him were WW 2 veterans, so that common fact had us kind of as friend's.. When we did bump in to each other, with some humor, he ask me if I was stalker him.. Then with a laugh and a wave, he would walk away. So my thoughts to his family. Good man. R I P.

My condolences to the Denlinger family. I was reading Richard's obituary in this morning's DDN and quickly realized that Richard and my late father Paul Ryan were in the same regiment (119th) and were both in communications and traveled in a Jeep. I bet they knew each other those many years ago.
God bless Richard
