Richard "Dick"/"Dickie" Williams Sr., age 74, of Whitehall, then Etna, Ohio, passed away at home on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, from lung cancer. He was born on December 20, 1946, at home in Worthington, Ohio to Grace (Cackler) and William A. Williams. Preceded by his loving partner and wife of 37 years Deborah Mae Williams. Dick was survived by his brother, Roger (Nancy) Williams; and children, Tonya (Bill), Angela (Steve), Chad (Josie), and Richard (Nikki); and grandchildren, Zachary (Melanie), Ashley, Caroline (Matt), Elizabeth, Leland, Ricky, Daniel, Andrew, Mason, and Dawson; great grandchild, Greyson; and first wife and friend, Renee Ewing; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Dick attended and graduated in 1964 from Worthington High School then served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War (crazy cats) 83rd RR SOW and honored with The National Defense Service Medal, Air Medal, Good Conduct Award, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. After serving his Country, Dick dedicated 32 years with the U.S. Government as a letter carrier. Dick stayed involved diligently with the NLCA. Dick was an active member of the Whitehall American Legion and VFW 9857 of Columbus, Ohio. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening, bird watching, playing cards (poker, euchre), bowling and shooting pool. He loved spending time with his family and his MANY friends. Celebration of Dick's life Monday, July 26, 2021, from 2-4pm along with 6-8pm at the Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home, 515 High Street, Worthington, Ohio. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 27 at 11am, interment will follow at Greenmound Cemetery, Kilbourne, Ohio.
