I had the great honor to hear Bob speak of his career in the CAP and the USAAC at a dinner of the Association of Naval Aviators and again meet and talk personally at the Westerville Library WWII dedication. He was truly a great hero from the Greatest Generation. Westerville and the world will be a lesser place without him. I share your loss.
Sincerely,
John Scott

Dear Debbie & family: I was sorry to read about your Dad. I often saw him go past my house to put flowers on your Mom's grave. He took such good care of those graves. He stopped a couple of times to chat with me. It was always good to talk to him.
Wendell & I are thinking of you.
Sincerely Betty (Wendell) Nye

I had the honor and privilege to interview Col Arn back in 2012 and transcribe the oral history of his Civil Air Patrol service in World War II. In 2014, I paid witness to his receiving the Congressional Gold Medal for his CAP service in the war. Godspeed and good tailwinds, colonel. You remain an inspiration and your accomplishments will live on for future generations to enjoy.
RIP , SIR

Will miss the school visits with Bob, talking to students who really had no idea what Bob's generation did for them. First time we met, he told me the Flying Tiger aircraft on my t-shirt was the wrong one...I found out then that he and I both belonged to the same unit in the Air Force...just 40 years apart. He was always willing to show up and help with any project. Veterans Day visits, Memorial Day, Honor Flight, Packing Care Packages, you name it. And, always a great story to go with it. Mixture Rich, Throttles Forward, Bob. Clear Skies Ahead.

You were a joy in my life to take care of. The short amount of time that I knew you I learned so much from your wonderful experience. Thank you for being such a sweet person to me. I will never forget.
