Robert Kirkwood Obituary

Kirkwood Robert John Kirkwood, 93, passed away peacefully om June 16, 2016. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on March 30, 1923 to the late John and Mary (Korton) Kirkwood. He was married to Helen Kirkwood on May 15, 1948, who preceded him in death on May 6, 2016. He is survived by his children, Ken (Jonna) Kirkwood and Carol Warren. Bob was a loving grandfather to Kelly (Rob) Nix, Alyssa (Hayden) Johnston, Kevin Kirkwood and Kelsey (David) McKinley. He was the very proud great-grandfather to Harper and Carter Johnston. A Graveside service will be held on Friday, July 8, 2016 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens at 5600 East Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43213. Please meet at the front gate at 3:45 P.M. The family would like to thank all the staff at Brookside Trillium Crossing and the Hospice services at Methodist Elder Care. In lieu of flowers, the family request any donations be made to Hospice Services at Methodist Elder Care, 124 Dorchester Square Lane, Unit 200 Westerville, Ohio 43081. I HAVE fond memories of Mr. Kirkwood dating back to the time when he was associated with the Boy Scouts in Seven Hills. My deepest sympathies on his passing. He was a wonderful person.
