Robert S. Shaw

SHAW Robert S. Shaw, age 90, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 5, 2010 at Willowbrook Christian Home. Member of Karl Road Baptist Church for over 60 years and a member of the American Baptist Men of Ohio. Retired employee of The Ohio State University. Graduate of North High School, Class of 1939. WW II Army Veteran. Preceded in death by loving wife of 68 years Hildamae Nicklaus Shaw and parents Ruth Yonker Shaw and Sterling Chester Shaw. Survived by daughters, Beverly Jean (William) Conner of Yreka, CA and Donna Mae (Cory) Coombs of Huntersville, NC; son, Thomas S. (Eloise) Shaw of Reynoldsburg, OH; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; step-sister, Margaret Franks of Phoenix, AZ; several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 9, 2010 at the Karl Road Baptist Church, 5750 Karl Road, Columbus, Ohio, where the family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Rev. Dr. Willaim J. Bowser, Pastor Richard W. Breusch and Rev. Glenn Perry officiating. Private inurnment service at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
