Robert S. Stires

STIRES Robert S. Stires, age 90, of Orient died December 13, 2007 in Mt. Carmel West Medical Center. He was born July 10, 1917 in Pickaway County. He was the son of Thomas and Mabel (Riley) Stires. Member of the Darbyville Community Church. He was preceded in death by parents, wife Hallie, sister Mary Lou Ladley, brothers Willis, William and Pearl. He is survived by son, Bob (Pam) Stires; daughters, Kay (Terry) Russell, Faye (Bill) Morrow, all of Orient, Michelle (Jack) Carsey of Sommerset; 6 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; brothers, Lloyd (Shirley) Stires, Orient, Frederick (Freda) Stires, Circleville, Eldon (Janet) Stires, Donald (Jean) Stires, Ronald Stires, Seymour Lee Stires, all of Mt. Sterling. A Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at the PORTER FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Rev. Randal Gordon officiating with burial following in Darbyville Cemetery.
