Ruth Zelizer Obituary

ZELIZER Ruth Zelizer of Bexley, Ohio died peacefully at Zusman House on March 22, 2008, surrounded by love. She was preceded in death by her parents Morris and Gisella Feuerlicht and her loving husband of 47 years Michael. Ruth is survived by daughters, Sandy Ferko of Atlanta, Fahn (Denny) Tishkoff, and Carol (Richard) Stoff of Columbus; son, Gary (Gail) Zelizer of Nashville; grandchildren, Marc (Alicia) Tishkoff, Beth (Tom) Pampush, Greg Tishkoff, Brant Ferko, Bari and Adam Zelizer, and Jenni Stoff; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Caden, and Lucas Pampush; sister, Lenora (Paul) Rehmar; special nieces, Janis Rehmar and Marcie (Evan) Rogell. Ruth served as office manager of Columbus Landmarks Foundation for many years. She was an active member of OSU Mothers' Club for almost 50 years and a lifetime member of Congregation Tifereth Israel. Ruth was totally devoted to her family and, in the end, as always, her thoughts were of them. Her determination and strength of spirit remained with her to the end. The manner in which she lived her life set a high standard for her family and all those who loved her. Funeral service 3 p.m., Monday, March 24, EPSTEIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 3232 E. Main St., with Rabbi Harold Berman and Cantor Jack Chomsky officiating. Burial to follow at the New Tifereth Israel Cemetery. Shiva will be observed at the home of Carol and Richard Stoff Tuesday through Thursday evenings beginning at 7:30 p.m. Contributions can be made to Congregation Tifereth Israel, 1354 E. Oh, Sandy ... I was so sorry to hear that your Mother passed away. My heart is absolutely aching for you!

Having lost my own Mother just two months ago, I know exactly what you're going through ... and I know there are no words that can ease the pain and sense of loss you're now feeling.

But I hope you'll find comfort in knowing that you have countless friends (myself included) who love you, and who are nearby to help you "survive" this difficult time.
