Sarah K. Lay

Lay Sarah K. Lay, our beloved mother, age 86, passed away at her home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 29, 2015. She was born on May 5, 1929 in Gallipolis, OH. She was the fifth of six children born to Edward and Lily Davis. She moved to Columbus, Ohio and married Milford Louis Lay, who preceded her in death in December 12, 2014. She is survived by daughters, Rebecca Maddox, Christina Rogers, and Theresa Davis of Columbus, OH.; son, Benjamin Lay of Greenbelt, MD; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends, neighbors, and parishoners all mourn her passing. Funeral 11 a.m. on Friday, November 6, 2015 at Union Grove Baptist Church, 266 N. Champion Avenue. Rev. Henry L. Johnson III, Officiant. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service. Interment Eastlawn Cemetery. Arrangements by C. D. WHITE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 1217 Mt. Vernon Ave. Repast to follow interment at the church.
