Sonya Pelletier Obituary

COLUMBUS - In Loving Memory of Sonya Rita Pelletier (Garcia)

August 29, 1939 - June 7, 2025

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Sonya Rita Pelletier on June 7, 2025, at the age of 85. Born in Cuba on August 29, 1939, Sonya was a radiant soul whose kindness, strength, and warmth touched everyone she met.

A devoted wife, mother, abuela, bisabuela, and friend, she lived a life rooted in faith, compassion, and love. She loved music, dancing, laughter, and spending time with those she held dear-especially during family games filled with fun and friendly competition.

Sonya is survived by her beloved husband, Raymondo; her children David (Diane), Valia, and Eric (Julie); her grandchildren Zack (Rachel), Kristin (Gera), Carmen (Matt), Austin, Alexis (Jarod), Courtney, and Braeden; and her great-grandchildren Zoey, Beckett, Willow, Grady, Veda, Meryl, and Leo. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rita and Felix Garcia, and her brother, Roberto.

Sonya's steady love and joyful spirit will remain with us always. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
